On June 19, 1988, actress Marie Logoreci passed away.

In her youth, she attended the Catholic female school of the “Stygmatine Sisters” and then the gymnasium of Shkodra. Along with the desire for acting, she also studied the art of music. Often, her warm voice would be heard on the airwaves of Radio Tirana, as well as in the newly created state choir.

Logoreci is assessed as the cornerstone of Albanian cinematography, as she began to perform in the films “Skënderbeu”, “Her Children”, “Tana”, “Our Earth”, as well as in the realization of the role of Loke, the character much loved by the public , where she performed alongside Ndrek Luca, Mario Ashiku and Roza Anagnosti.

The General Directorate of Archives brings to this commemoration day, the decision of the Council of Ministers and the relation of the Ministry of Education and Culture for awarding the title “People’s Artist” to the actress Marie Logoreci.

President of Albania decorated her posthumously with the high decoration “Honour of the Nation”.
