Tish Daija is an Albanian composer. He was born on the 30th of January 1926. He composed the first Albanian ballet Halili dhe Hajria (Halili and Hajria) that premiered on 13 January 1963 and has since been shown more than 250 times at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, a record for the Albanian Theatre.He started his musical creativity under the sounds of the accordion. The first compositions are the songs “To the maid”, “Take it slow”, “With beautiful flowers”. He studied at the “Tchaikovsky” conservatory in Moscow.

After his studies, he was appointed to the Ministry of Education and Culture. Tish Daija has been the Artistic Director of the Assembly of Folk Songs and Dances for 18 years (1962-1980), author of many great musical works such as the operetta “Lejlaja”, the opera “Spring”, the first Albanian ballet “Halili and Hajria”, “Bijte e Peshkatari” etc. Tish Daija is an alumnus of the Moscow Conservatory. 

 Daija was also a very good football player. He was part of Flamurtari before he seriously dedicated himself to music and even became one of the Albanian Superliga top scorers in the Albanian Superliga in the 1948 national championship with 11 goals.Tish Daija died at the age of 78 in 2001.
