The 9th meeting of the Technical Committee of the Transport Community for Water Transport and Multimodality was held in the port of Civitavecchia in Rome. The meeting was organized by the Permanent Secretariat of Transport and focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes at ports.

Representatives of the Port Authority of Durrës, as well as experts from across Europe and beyond, were present at the meeting.

The representatives of the Durrës Port Authority discussed the main investments planned for 2024, the implementation of the new integrated port construction project in Porto-Romano, changes to the regulatory framework in accordance with EU Directives, and investments in the field of cybersecurity.

The meeting also discussed the “Maritime Single Window” initiative, which aims to digitize and simplify maritime trade processes. Additionally, capacity building for sustainable port operations was a key topic of discussion.

The meeting concluded with a study visit to the Port of Civitavecchia, allowing attendees to gain first-hand knowledge of port facilities and operations.
