North Macedonia, new postage stamp for the 50th anniversary of the Orthography Congress

A new postage stamp dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Orthography Congress and the unification of Standard Albanian Language throughout the area where it is spoken, has just been issued in Shkup/Skopje.
This stamp was issued at the proposal of the North-Macedonian Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of the Albanians (ITSHKSH) and by approval of the Directorate of Post Philately of North Macedonia.
The postal issue for this event contains as a hallmark the historic stamp of the Orthography Congress, the plaque announcing the time of this event, as well as a photo of the delegates in the congress hall.
The stamp bears the trilingual marking: Macedonian, Albanian and English: “50 years since the Congress of the Orthography of the Albanian Language”. The inauguration of this new philatelic edition will take place on November 14, on the eve of the date of the historical Congress of Manastir in 1908.
The Orthography Congress, it is said in the evaluation of Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians, is a major event that contributed to the linguistic and cultural integration of our nation.
The Orthography Congress on a postage stamp in North Macedonia expresses at the same time a new state of the Albanian language in official use in the neighboring country.
