Exhibition of contemporary art “The Intermittent Time Intimacy Paradox” opened in Tirana

The Creative Industry Agency, in cooperation with the University of Arts, opened an exhibition of contemporary art, which unlike any other  time takes place in one of the bunkers abandoned in the heart of Tirana. Here you could meet 17 new authors, who brought their point of view
through these selected works in years.
By turning this bunker into an exhibition, the Creative Industry Agency continues its path for revitalizing every possible space and turning them into centers that promote art, culture and above all helps the city in the cultivation of taste and thought.
The place where this exhibition is located is a call for reflection and in the works we see, bodies, pieces of life mixed in time, make us shed light on time, people, that here expected to live their darkest days.
In the title of this exhibition we find the words Intimacy and time.
Professor Genc Mulliqi explains: “Bunker which never experienced pain, fear, consolation, the intimacy of a thrilling embrace under the alarm sirens, carries, exposes, experiences, troubles, dreams, reflections of today’s 20-year-olds. A diverse range of works is exhibited, both in concept and medium. Works are personal, form human, or unusual, shadow light of another intimacy, perhaps as much unrealized as that of a
past time. Three things, no one and never could stop; love that wins over hate, the culture that triumphs over ignorance and time, that in the intimacy of its ticking makes us remember that we are temporary, and like all mortals we only have one chance at it, leave our mark in the troubled memory of this land, always smaller, always endless…“.
This exhibition, through students’ works, invited visitors to discover the value of time and privacy, in a bunker, as the most extreme place of lack of freedom. In this way, we remember once again that nothing, not even freedom itself, is good, but is a value above values, for which we should never be sure, but only together, only through history and art, we can cultivate it.
Participating creators were: Gentjana Dashballa, Leonard Prela, Juli Miftari, Arens Ibrahimi, Eglis Tufa, Amarildo Lami, Albi Veli, Jurgen Lamaj, Qani Shehaj, Ervis Gjini, Michele Kasemi, Antoneta Sulmina, Raimonda Ndreca, Dardan Imeraj, Kejsi Kullolli, Euro Rrasa, Eugen Dine under the leadership of Prof. Genc Mullici.
