Italian artist makes Tirana part of “Pink City”, Franc Cerami: New narrative for Mother Teresa Square

Italian digital artist Franz Cerami has been in Tirana as part of the Italian Culture Week, introducing the Albanian capital in such a project “Pink City”, where he projects his color videos on large buildings.
“Pink City” is the story of the cities I went to and the cities that came to me. It is the story of a sustainable, fluid and colorful city. It is also the story of Marrakesh, San Paolo, Rio, Yerevan, St. Petersburg, Madrid, Lisbon Paris and today is Tirana and then Tirana goes with these cities around the world,” he says.
Cerami also shows the reason why Mother Teresa Square and the Polytechnic University were chosen as the appropriate places for the activity.
“It is the most important square and it is the architecture that is part of the city. And the building was designed by the Italians and I liked the idea of playing with Italian art and architecture to show another way of building the narrative,” Cerami said.
Italian Ambassador Bucci and Minister Margariti emphasized culture as a bridge of union, also through a new language of art like this digital.
