Sunny Hill Festival will not be organized in Prishtina. The announcement was made by Dukagjin Lipa, the founder and the organizer of this festival. Later on the official website of the festival confirmed that this organization has moved to Tirana.

The father of the world-famous Albanian singer, Dua Lipa, Dukagjin Lipa, said that the reason for not holding the festival in Pristina is “due to numerous delays caused by the lack of response and the delays in obtaining the necessary licenses for the location of the festival.”

The 2020 edition was canceled due to the pandemic. This festival was founded by the Sunny Hill Foundation, of the world-famous singer, Dua Lipa.

The third edition of the festivals was planned to be held in Prishtina from 4 to 7 August 2022. But, already on these dates it has moved to the Albanian capital.

Mayor Erion Veliaj also posted the message of the organizers of this festival. “The same date, the same beautiful experience, different location! This August (due to delays by the authorities in obtaining the necessary licenses for the location), we are forced to go to Tirana. We want to inform all our ticket holders that their tickets are valid for Sunny Hill Festival 2022 – Tirana Edition, while those who can not participate in the Festival in Tirana, will be able to have their tickets refunded.
