The Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, during her visit to Berlin visited the Jewish Museum in Berlin (Jewish Museum Berlin), where she was received by the director Martin Michaelis.

“Memory is what makes us aware of who we are and not to fall into the mistakes of the past”, said Margariti on social networks, while sharing moments from this visit.

Margariti emphasized that the purpose of this visit was the exchange of ideas and experiences, for the finalization of the newest institution of memory, the Albanian Jewish Museum”, she said.

This museum will be an attractive magnet not only for tourists, as an integral part of the historic city center, but above all for young people.

The Jewish Museum in Vlora will tell a unique story, dedicated to the coexistence of Jews and Albanians in time, which aims to become a cultural magnet for the historic area in Vlora.

With the construction of this museum, a new standard will be set for museums in Albania, supporting the creation of a contemporary museum, the only one of its kind in Albania and the region, in terms of mission, concept, architecture, management, governance, model of exposure and storytelling, partnerships and community engagement.
