“Jazz not war” is the motto under which this year the jazz festival takes place in Shkodra, an annual artistic event that evokes and promotes jazz music.

Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images from the special atmosphere that this event brings to the city of Shkodra. “Shkodra in a special jazz atmosphere”, said Rama, while sharing the photo album.

Under the sounds of jazz and costumes of the ’30s, Shkodra welcomed the annual event that aims to revive the feeling of cultural freedom, in a city with an ancient tradition. 

April 30 is known as International Jazz Music Day, which is celebrated with the aim of raising awareness of Jazz values as an educational tool and force for peace, unity, dialogue and enhanced cooperation between people.

UNESCO has set April 30 for this day, with the resolution adopted at the General Conference of this organization, in November 2011.
