12 composers from 6 Western Balkan countries are part of the “Synergy” project. The mission of promoting young artists in Albania is taken over by the “Vox Baroque” festival, with 2 composers Jetmir Zaganjori and Kris Sopiqoti.
“Through this project we want to give young artists the opportunity to get to know each other. There will also be workshops, which will be held in each of the 6 countries, as well as a music ‘tour’ that will include great artists,” said Sara Mandic, Synergy project manager.
There are over 50 musicians and cultural managers who will come together in 6 music festivals. The mission in Albania is taken over by the international festival “Vox Baroque”, while the two selected artists are Jetmir Zaganjori and Kris Sopiqoti.

“The ‘Vox Baroque’ festival has been open for 9 years and has already established a baroque music school. Another special element of this Festival is the inclusion of original old instruments. It extends to all cities of Albania to promote cultural heritage, rural tourist areas, etc. “, says the musician Jusuf Beshiri, founder of‘ Vox Baroque ’.

Two composers Kreshnik Alickaj and Predrag Radisavljevic from Kosovo and Serbia are invited as residents to Albania.

“Each of the artists will stay resident in the neighboring country, taking from the cultural elements of that country. So a kind of cultural exchange will be created “, says the guitarist Denis Bizhga, cultural manager of ‘Vox Baroque’.

The payback period of this project is 3 years and will culminate with a comprehensive festival.
