Elbasan, as always, will be the capital of the Summer Day celebrations, where citizens, craftsmen, businessmen, local and regional governments, athletes and artists, ministers and MPs will gather there. “Sofra e Elbasanit”, is expected to be the novelty of this holiday organized by the Municipality, the Center of Art and Culture, with the participation of artistic-cultural groups and ensembles from all over the country.

Youth Park, University, Castle, “Gensher” square, the square at the “Stadium”, the big hall of the “Skampa” Theater, parks, gardens and tourist areas, will be the arena of artistic activities and not only, that will entertain citizens and invited friends and those who have chosen as every year, to celebrate this popular holiday in Elbasan.

The director of the Center of Art and Culture Kliton Kapaj, speaking about the importance and commitment of the institution he leads, said that “everything we have organized is ready, we have been preparing for over 1 month, the orchestras, ensembles, artistic groups, Elbasan regions and invited artists are ready , festive nights, festivals, mobile cinemas, football championships, volleyball, basketball, exhibitions of works of art for children and adults will be organized, the best groups from Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia will be here for 3 nights in a row, we will have well-known public figures of the country and the region, there will be mayors from the Balkans, present Elita-5, or well-known singers from the country and the world.

 The big holiday will close with the annual carnivals by the students of the city schools, and Ballakume, of course, remains after the special lunch, the “queen” of Summer Day, so I think and I believe that this holiday will leave special impressions to those who will come on March 10 or 11 and will leave Elbasan after March 13, with unforgettable memories. We invite you and look forward to celebrating together,”said Kapaj.

According to sources from the organizing committee of the Summer Day, in its three days, Elbasan is expected to pass over 1 million inhabitants, where undoubtedly this will be a good opportunity for local business, and those businesses that are expected to fill the streets and squares of the city.
