The play “Three Winters” is put on Metropol stage. Elia Zaharia as the mother of Yllka Mujo, are two protagonist characters, who reveal the drama for justice. Sokol Angjeli confesses his resistance to the immoral line and together with Xhuvani, Lljarajan, Zhusti and other actors keep the audience “stuck”.

Around the table that hides the inscriptions of the families who lived in the house, the characters of “Three Winters” ”are located in Zagreb, Croatia. The family tree and the entangled branches do not see these separate eras. Thus, the director Rozi Kostani, at the Metropol Theater, through the scenes and film moments, shows how the past, not only dictates the future, but is present in the present. At the center of Tena Stivicic’s part, Roza’s warlike character played by Elia Zaharia, suffers from World War II. It seems that after ’45, with the coming of the communists to power, a key to the house will give her the missing justice, but in fact, without knowing it, it goes to the family roots.

The scenes are almost picturesque and the journey into the past takes decades, touching on the ’90s and 2011. In them we see Yllka Mujo, as Masha, Roza’s daughter, who tries to strengthen herself, and emerge from the shadow of the desires of family members. While Sokol Angjeli, in the role of Vlado, tries to keep the family from losing the right path. The demanding play of the actors makes the audience stand by. There are no losers or winners, eras and systems dictate the role. But when the pressure of the oligarchs gives you no option, it seems as if silence or compromise remains the only solution.

Accountability can come in another winter, why not through a “Vetting”. Marriage, on the other hand, as a bargaining chip, cannot camouflage sadness with holiday colors. Stivicic, leaves the possibility open. Maybe, another winter will follow.
