Eldon Luarasi brings “Confessions” exhibition for the Albanian public

It took 3 decades for Eldon Luarasi, son of Edi and Mihal Luarasi brings an exhibition for the Albanian public. “Confessions”Eldon Luarasi, son of Edi and Mihal Luarasi brings an exhibition for the Albanian public. “Confessions” on canvas mark the first personal exhibition of the artist in the country. 33 paintings in oil and 2 in acrylic, realized during the last 7 years find a place in the gallery “FAB”. In a corner you can see the smiling eyes of his mother, caressing visitors with sensation. Eldon allows another angle of view for the artist, Edi Luarasi, who passed away two months ago.
“I realized it two years ago. She enjoyed good health at that time. I love this portrait very much, because it is an intimate, family portrait … It’s me and my mother … I have made other portraits of her. “One of them is very portrayable, beyond the fact that she was an artist,” he said.
Eldon admits that in the artistic spirit, which silently investigates the human being, it is also his father, the director Mihal Luarasi, who has given him the main impetus towards painting. While Arben Basha, Buron Kaceli, Mikel Temo and other friends, have been one more support
“They have greatly influenced my formation, the spirit in our house was artistic,” he said.
And yet the blows that the Luarasi couple received from the system would also affect their son, who was deprived of the right to compete in the Academy of Arts.
“I experienced it very badly, although as a family we were used to these kinds of rejections. And yet, I did not give up, I continued,” he said.
They were the primary motive for the artist to return to Tirana after years in Italy, where he has realized a series of exhibitions. Personal objects such as evidence of childhood experiences, a love story probably dressed in red, friendly portraits or with an intellectual impact on the artist, as well as the nude room, have as common denominators the situation that prevails over appearance.
Luarasi’s personal exhibitions that precede “Confessions” are “Art Club Grabatella” in Rome in 2007, as well as in 2000 at the Mannedorf Congress Center. He has also exhibited in Fiumicino, Sicily, etc.
The exhibition “Confessions”, curated by Genc Përmeti with text by Persida Asllani, will continue to be open to the public until February 10.
