An Albanian film will be part of the list of 15 films for the Oscars. “Hive” will participate in the 94th edition of the prestigious night.

This is a true story of Fahrije Hoti from Krusha e Madhe. In search of her husband lost during the war in Kosovo, she starts an agricultural business to ensure the survival of the family.

She starts this business by facing a traditionally patriarchal environment where the ambition to develop an activity is not viewed favorably.
No one and nothing stopped Fahrije in her mission. This film has been awarded numerous prizes including three major awards at the Sundance Film Festival.

If it wins the Oscar nomination, “Hive” would become the second film from Kosovo to achieve such a success.
