The mosaic of Myftar Cubi has been considered of great interest by art lovers from Shkodra. The exhibition of the artist from Tirana but originally from Malësia e Madhe has been opened at the art gallery in Shkodra, with 50 works made of pebbles. The very excited artist has spoken precisely about this rare genre.

“The love for Art was born with me and I have the mosaic in my soul very early in the first year of high school, at the Art High School, when I realized some straw works. I developed the second one after graduating from the Academy of Arts, in monumental painting, where there is a mosaic, a fresco, etc. This kind of mosaic has been an innovation for me. I loved it and I believe that I am the only one in this genre “, said the artist Cubi.
They are mainly portraits of figures of the nation, but also portraits of ordinary people, who, as he says, came spontaneously to his creativity. He knew best how to sculpt the portrait of a woman.

His wife, at the same time his manager, Vjollca Cubi talks about the many exhibitions they have opened abroad.

“Managing works of art has been a very beautiful thing for me. For one reason, I have opened exhibitions and managed them in many countries around the world, in London, Paris, Vienna, Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia. In Albania Myftar Cubi has opened 2-3 exhibitions in 5 years. But managing art is beautiful and difficult as well. Feeling proud when you manage art is a value “, said his wife, Vjollca Cubi.

The prominent mosaic artist, Myftar Cubi is an honorary citizen of Shkodra and Malësia e Madhe, while in the gallery there are several mosaics that promote the values ​​and customs of these areas.
