Albania and Kosovo Sign Agreement for Joint Prosecutor Investigation Teams

Blerim Isufaj, Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo, hosted today a working meeting with a delegation from the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Prosecution of Albania, led by its head, Altin Dumani.
The two chief prosecutors discussed strengthening cooperation, coordination, and efficiency in the fight against crime, as well as enhancing the rule of law in both countries.
In addition, Prosecutor Isufaj and Prosecutor Dumani signed a cooperation agreement to establish joint investigation teams composed of prosecutors from both institutions.
“This agreement aims to ensure close cooperation and coordination between the two prosecutions in key areas of the fight against crime that affect the economic, financial, and social interests of both countries,” the statement noted.
Both Prosecutors Isufaj and Dumani emphasized the significance of this agreement, considering it a crucial step towards improving security and the rule of law in both countries, while also fostering a strong partnership between their respective justice institutions.
