Major Director Ilir Proda, the new Director General of the Albanian State Police, chose Kosovan Police for his first international visit in this role. In an introductory meeting, Proda was welcomed by his counterpart, Colonel Gazmend Hoxha, Director General of Kosova Police.

The two directors, joined by senior officials from both forces, discussed ways to improve coordination in controls and operations to prevent illegal activities and ensure the safe movement of citizens, vehicles, and goods.

Proda and Hoxha emphasized that these shared objectives can be achieved by intensifying cooperation, particularly through the rapid exchange of information to target criminal groups involved in illegal trafficking.

They also agreed on reducing bureaucratic obstacles in police operations and enhancing proactive investigations in collaboration with law enforcement agencies from both countries. These initiatives aim to strengthen joint efforts in combating terrorism, violent extremism, organized crime, and trafficking.

The meeting concluded with both directors pledging to deepen their future collaboration and explore new areas of mutual interest.
