Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama received on Friday the Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis, who was at the meeting of the Western Balkans Foreign Ministers in Tirana.

The news was published on social networks by Mr. Rama himself along with some photos from the meeting with the Greek delegation.

The meeting comes at a time when relations between Albania and Greece are not at their best times due to the arrest of elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, supported by the Greek government. He was arrested two days before the May 14 local elections on charges of vote buying.

The Greek authorities have called for Beleri to be allowed to take the oath, but the Albanian government and Mr. Rama himself have said that they do not interfere in the affairs of the judiciary and that only Justice gives the last word.
