The Greek minority in Albania, treasure of our culture of coexistence

Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama declared that the Greek minority in Albania is a treasure of our culture of coexistence and an irreplaceable bridge to nurture and strengthen the friendship between the two peoples.
In an interview for the Greek public television ERT, Rama stated that the claim that the Greek minority in Albania is treated with a skeptical eye by the Albanian political system is completely untrue in the field of facts.
“It’s been 80 years since World War II ended and still today Greece has martial law in force, which is a huge archaism and something we’re very interested in seeing put out of the way once and for all,” Albanian Prime Minister emphasized.
Meanwhile, Rama said that he believes a lot in friendship, in strategic partnership and in the great common interest of Albania and Greece to strengthen this friendship as much as possible.
“Just as I believe in the simple fact that the Greek minority in Albania is a treasure of our culture of coexistence and an irreplaceable bridge to nurture and strengthen the friendship between the two peoples, between the two states and definitely between the two governments, regardless of who governs in Tirana and regardless of who governs in Athens”, Rama underscored.
