Today, President Bajram Begaj sent a congratulatory message on the 24th anniversary of the entry of NATO troops into Kosova.

“Happy Liberation Day Kosova! Tribute to the heroes of the Kosova Liberation Army! Thanks to our strategic partners USA and NATO,” writes Begaj on social network.

On June 12, 1999, after 78 days of bombing by the US-led Western Military Alliance against Serbian-Montenegrin military targets in Kosova, Serbia and Montenegro, NATO troops entered Kosova in a peacekeeping mission known as KFOR, putting an end to an almost two-year war and the ethnic cleansing of Albanians.
