Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama will host today a meeting with the representatives of all Albanian political parties in North Macedonia.

The head of Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti, Afrim Gashi of the Alternative Movement, Menduh Thaçi of Democratic Party of the Albaniansand Arben Taravari of Alliance for Albanians will be present at the meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama. The topic expected to be discussed is the political developments in Skopje and the impasse with Bulgaria.

Democratic Union for Integration spokesman, Bujar Osmani, who is also the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia, has stated that the meeting in Tirana aims to exchange opinions on current issues in the region.

“According to the information I have, the meeting in Tirana is for the New Year and aims to exchange opinions on some current issues in the region, as well as expectations for the New Year, which brings more challenges. But the meeting does not have a predetermined, precise agenda. The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, is a proven friend of North Macedonia and we remember that he proved it especially in the negotiations with Bulgaria, when he literally, once exposing himself and at the expense of Albania’s interests, defended the Macedonian positions. There is no need to create a conspiracy for those meetings”, said Osmani.
