Today, the meeting between the EU and the interior ministers of the Balkans in Tirana

Tirana welcomes today the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial for Justice and Internal Affairs, which is organized by the Czech Republic as the country holding the next presidency of the European Union.
Working together in the field of justice, migration and security turns out to be topic of the forum.
The European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson (Ilva Johanson) will participate in the meeting of the Ministers of the Interior and the Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders (Didje Reinders) will participate in the meeting of the Ministers of Justice.
The first topic in the home affairs section will be security issues related to the war in Ukraine and Johansson will brief home ministers on the latest developments in migration, asylum and border management. Johansson proposed a common approach to migration during the meeting of the Berlin Process on October 20.
Representatives of Europol, Frontex and the EU Agency for Asylum will also participate in the meetings.
The ministerial work will start at 13:30 at the Palace of Congresses. After the closed-door meeting, there will be a press conference at 17:30 by Commissioner Johansson, Minister Çuçi and the Czech counterpart, Rakusan. On the second day, the ministerial will focus on issues related to justice.
According to reports, the fight against organized crime and corruption will be discussed, as well as the situation in the countries of the Western Balkans regarding criminal prosecution in this area.
