The results of the census are published in North Macedonia, Albanians

The results of the census conducted last year in North Macedonia and the Diaspora were published yesterday at noon. After many months of waiting and impatience among the citizens, the statistics came out according to which from the total population, it turns out that there are 1,137,030 Macedonian inhabitants or 54.21% of the population.

Albanians make the second largest population in Macedonia, with a total population of 619,187, or 29.52 percent. Of these, 24.3 percent are residents, confirmed the State Statistical Office after the census process.
Then followed the Turks with 83,443 inhabitants, or 3.98%. Roma are 49,104 inhabitants or 2.34%.  There are 24,759 Serbs or 1.18%,  18,163 Bosniaks or 0.87%, 9,208 Vlachs or 0.44 percent. The total population of Macedonia is 2,097,319 inhabitants.

In total, the population living in North Macedonia is 1,836,713. Regarding the non-resident population or citizens who have emigrated to foreign countries, we notice that the number of Albanians is almost three times higher. Thus, the non-resident registered Macedonians turn out to be   63,731 such, or 24.45%. Non-resident registered Albanians are 172,942 or 66.36%.
