The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla received today in a meeting in the Presidency of the Assembly of Albania the Chairman of the Alternative Party in North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi.

Balla congratulated Gashi on his decision to join the new ruling coalition.

According to Balla, Albanians in North Macedonia have never before had an equal representation in the composition of the government as today.

“It is a pleasure to receive in the Presidency of the Albanian Parliament the Chairman of the Alternative Party in North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi, whom I congratulated on the decision to be part of the new governing coalition. Never before have Albanians in North Macedonia had an equal representation in the composition of the Government as today. This should serve as an opportunity to advance reforms on the European path,” Balla underlined.

During the meeting, Balla and Gashi talked about the process of European integration of the two countries and the importance of deepening cooperation between our parliaments.
