The famous poet Arben Duka passed away this morning. The sad news is given by the head of the Union of Journalists, Aleksandër Çipa.

“Goodbye Arben Duka! “Immortal Poet,” he wrote on social networks. It is learned that Duke was suffering from a serious illness and today he passed away at the age of 64.

Arben Duka was born on December 5, 1957 in Labova, Gjirokastra. He graduated from the Military Academy and the “Aleksandër Xhuvani” University. He has probably the richest literary and artistic biography in the country. He is the author of over fifty volumes of poetry published and republished up to five times. He is a co-author of about three thousand songs of all genres since 1974. He has dozens of awards as author and co-author in the song genre, where the first seven awards stand out in the Song Festivals on the Albanian Radio and Television. He is the author of thousands upon thousands of humorous and satirical verses in many daily and periodicals.
  Arben Duka is mostly a lyric poet. Some of the titles of his books are:

All his creativity has a positive and inspiring impact on readers, fans and many lovers of the poet wherever Albanians live.
