The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, received in his office the Mayor of Gjakova, Ardian Gjini, who is running for another term in the local elections of October 17 in Kosovo.

Veliaj donated the Clock Tower to the mayor Gjini and said that he is happy that Gjakova has changed a lot in recent years thanks to his work and dedication. “I am inspired by all the changes that have taken place in the city. The fact that everyone is saying that Gjakova is becoming more beautiful, more prosperous, better, more open every day, with more tourists makes my heart glad. I wish you an excellent campaign and very soon I will plan, maybe before the end of the year, a visit to Gjakova to see all these beautiful works that have been done, “said Veliaj.

The mayor of Tirana said that there is one more reason to visit the city of Gjakova. “I spent part of my youth in Kosovo and I started in Gjakova before I went to Pristina. I remembered with my friend, with my brother Ardian Gjini, who is today the mayor of Gjakova, those years. “Today I am very happy that one of the cities closest to my heart has advanced so much and I can’t wait to return,” he said.

The mayor of Gjakova also congratulated the mayor Veliaj for the transformation of the Albanian capital. “Tirana is the capital not only of Albania, but of all Albanians. We all love it. In Kosovo we see that Tirana is becoming more beautiful every day and we are feeling good. This makes all Albanians feel that we are not a place behind God, but we really have something to show someone. I congratulate you for your passion to lead Tirana, “declared Gjini.

Veliaj invited Albanian youth everywhere to join in Tirana next year. “I can not wait for the year of youth that we have in 2022 to turn Tirana into an epicenter that promotes all young people, not only in Albania, but all Albanians, even if they are in Gjakova, Mitrovica, Podujeva, or Pristina wherever we have the opportunity to promote them. “We are ‘One,'” he said.
