Governments of Kosovo and Albania expected to hold their 7th joint meeting in Pristina

The governments of Kosovo and Albania are expected to hold their seventh joint meeting in Pristina this year, after their sixth in Tirana on October 2, 2020.

Previously, the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Albania held the fifth joint meetings, on November 26, 2018 in the city of Peja, after the historic first in Prizren on January 11, 2014, the second in Tirana on March 23, 2015, the third in 3 June 2016 in Prishtina and the fourth held on November 27, 2017 in Korça.

This week, on October 17, 2021, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, in a congratulatory letter to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama, on the occasion of the election for the third time, invited him to visit Kosovo and begin preparations for the joint meeting of the two governments.

Prime Minister Rama, thanking Prime Minister Kurti for the greeting and invitation, stressed: “I will definitely visit Kosovo with great pleasure, upon returning from the UN Assembly! Let’s start right away with the preparation of the Joint Meeting. I wish with all my heart and I am confident that we will do a lot of good work for the benefit of both our countries.”

During this week, on September 16, 2021, the first joint meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo with the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia was held in Skopje, where 11 agreements were signed. North Macedonia is the second country with which Kosovo holds joint meetings of governments.
