President Begaj Affirms Support for Albanians in Presevo Valley During Meeting with MP Shaip Kamberi

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, today met with Shaip Kamberi, the Albanian Member of Parliament from the Presevo Valley in the Serbian Parliament.
The discussion focused on the challenges and issues faced by Albanians in the Presevo Valley, as well as Albania’s commitment to defending and safeguarding their rights.
President Begaj assured Mr. Kamberi of his support and the support of Albanian institutions for the cause of Albanians in the Presevo Valley. “The issues of Albanians in the Presevo Valley remain a priority for us until they are resolved,” said President Begaj during the conversation.
“The imminent opening of the General Consulate in Bujanoc is an important step forward,” the President noted.
“No one in the 21st century should be punished for using national symbols or displaying the flag. In my meetings with international representatives, I have emphasized the need to stop the deactivation of addresses in the Presevo Valley and to recognize the diplomas of young people who complete their studies in Albania and Kosovo, as a right guaranteed by the Berlin Process,” President Begaj emphasized.
“Finally, I want to congratulate you for your political work and for your advocacy in the Serbian Parliament in defense of the cause, the blood, and the dignity of the Albanian people,” the President concluded.
