The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, participated today in the “Friends of the Western Balkans” meeting organized in Wachau, Austria, by the Austrian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Alexander Schallenberg.

Hasani announced that the meeting discussed accelerating integration and support for the six Western Balkan countries into the European Union.

The Albanian chief diplomat emphasized that “the commitment to the EU integration of the Western Balkans must continue.”

“Our focus should remain on the current priorities with the primary objective of the full membership of the six Western Balkan countries in the EU. The EU will be more stable, safer, and more complete with the inclusion of the Western Balkans,” Hasani stated.
