Joint meeting between Albanian and Montenegrin governments held today in Podgorica

The joint meeting between the Albanian and Montenegrin governments was held today in Podgorica. At the end, a joint declaration and 10 agreements were signed between the two countries in the field of energy, infrastructure, economy and youth.
The ceremony of signing the agreements will be held at 13:00. The project for the construction of the bridge over the Buna river will also receive a lot of attention, as the two governments will sign an agreement. The project to be signed for the construction of the bridge is expected to turn this into a common tourist area, as it will connect Velipoja with the rest of the coast in Montenegro.
At the government meeting held at the premises of the Academy of Sciences, the agreement that will pave the way for the construction of the new border point between Albania and Montenegro will be signed. This border point will be opened near Ulcinj and Velipoja, in the area between Sveti Nikola (Montenegro) and Pulaj (Albania) and will facilitate the movement of citizens between the two countries. Likewise, another important agreement will be the one on social insurance, the recognition of pensions between the two countries. This is the second meeting between the governments of the two countries. The meeting will be held in Podgorica at the premises of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts. The meeting will start at 09:00 in the morning and will last until the afternoon.
After the signing of the joint documents, a joint press conference of the Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović and the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama will be held.
