A promotional event was held for the newly released book on the life and work of renowned Albanian painter Fatmir Haxhiu. The event gathered family, friends, and admirers of the artist.

The monograph, written by Suzana Varvarica, an artist and art researcher, took five years to complete. It was supported financially by the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation. The book explores Haxhiu’s life and art, highlighting his focus on history, war, and state authority, as well as his works on landscape and peaceful nature. It also delves into his relationship with Kosovo and offers further insights into his artistic journey.

Born in Gjirokastër on December 28, 1927, and passing away in Tirana on March 10, 2001, Fatmir Haxhiu became a prominent figure in Albanian art. His long career earned him the prestigious titles of “Meritorious Painter” and “Master of the Craft.”
