Engagement with Diaspora Professionals commenced today with an event dedicated to the professional and artistic life of the Francophone journalist, professor, and writer, Skënder Sherifi.

The event, organized in his honor, was attended by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani.

“Skënder Sherifi is a worthy representative of Albanian writers abroad, commanding incredible authority within French and Belgian cultures,” said Hasani in his address.

Minister Hasani emphasized that “Sherifi’s works, through a rich and atypical journey spanning Brussels, Paris, Prishtina, and Tirana, have played an important role in strengthening our ties with the international community, significantly enriching our literary heritage and reinforcing Albanian identity worldwide.”

Skënder Sherifi, a renowned writer and poet, is regarded as a distinguished representative of Albanian writers who pursue their careers abroad. For a considerable time, he worked as a professional journalist in arts and culture for Belgian radio and press, conducting around 700 interviews with renowned Francophone, Anglophone, Italian, and Spanish creators in Brussels and Paris.
