Nuhi Berisha was born on October 3, 1961, in Svircë, Dardana (formerly Kamenica). He completed his primary education in his hometown, attended high school in Gjilan, and pursued higher studies in Law and Physical Culture at the University of Pristina. A gifted student, Berisha possessed a clear vision for Kosovo’s future and the courage to oppose the regime from an early age. During his student years, he collaborated with Rexhep Mala and other activists to form the Student Committee within the Revolutionary Group, laying the groundwork for the student movement of spring 1981.

In 1973, Berisha began his activism by contributing to the publication of the newspaper Zëri i Kosovës, which played a crucial role in promoting the cause of liberation. On the night of January 11-12, 1984, Berisha and Rexhep Mala heroically fell during a confrontation with Serbian police at Kodra e Trimave in Pristina. Today, a primary school in Tygjec bears his name in honor of his contributions.
