Former Democratic Party deputy Gerti Bogdani, who passed away on September 18, 2024, due to a cardiac arrest, will be laid to rest today. Tributes are being held in the plenary hall of the Albanian Parliament from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, before his final journey to the “Sharra” cemetery.

President Bajram Begaj and other dignitaries, including deputies and cultural figures, are paying their respects. The Democratic Party has declared today a national day of mourning, canceling all activities.

Bogdani, born on July 7, 1980, in Tirana, was an influential political figure and former Chairman of the Democratic Party’s Youth Forum and President of the International Young Democrat Union. He leaves behind his wife, Edlira Çepani, and two children.
