Well-known actor Ndriçim Xhepa celebrates his 67th birthday today. Xhepa, the son of another icon of Albanian cinema, Margarita Xhepa, was born on January 21, 1957 in Tirana. After completing his acting studies at the Academy of Arts, in 1979, he began working at the National Theatre. He has performed about 40 roles, among which the performances in “Twelfth Night”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Prometheus”, “In Life”, “Monserrat”, “Death of a Commissioner”, “Under the Stage Lights” stand out. , “Tomorrow is late”, “Stairs” etc.

In 1995, he won the “Aleksandër Moisiu” award for the best actor for the play “Fernando Krapp wrote me this letter”.

While the play “The Second Chapter”, he won the award for “Best Actor” at the Nationwide Acting Festival, “Apollo 2004”, in Fier. Since 1988, he has been an external lecturer at the Academy of Arts, Faculty of Performing Arts.

In the 1990s, he performed leading roles in independent productions in Albania and Albanian-speaking areas.

Ndriçim Xhepa has realized prominent characters that remained in the public’s memory, even in cinema. He achieved success in about 30 films: “The Friends”, “Far Times”, “The Train Leaves at Seven to Five”, “Rapists”, “Love Your Name”, “The Morning Call”, “Shadows that Remain Behind” , “Flutura in my cab”, “Sako’s wedding”, “The Return of the Dead Army”, “I love Era” etc. He is also a three-time winner of the Best Actor Cup at the Film Festivals in 1987, 1989 and 2000.
