“Aleksandër Moisiu” theater of Durrës announces that the “Great Master”, Lutfi Hoxha, actor of dozens of roles in theater and cinematography, has passed away at the age of 89.

Lutfi Hoxha was one of the founders of the “Aleksandër Moisiu” theater in Durrës, where he played until the end of his artistic career. He has played over 100 roles in the theater and nearly 17 roles in cinematography.

Some of the films in which he performed are “Streets that sought the sun”, “Special task”, “The call”, “Our friend Tili”, “Forest of freedom”, “Sounds of war”, “The first night of freedom” , “We and Lenin” etc. After retirement, he played in “City without love” by Bashkim Hoxha, “Knocking on the doors of pain” by Serafin Fanku, the monologue of Oedipus in “Oedipus the King”, “We don’t pay, we don’t pay” by Nobel laureate Dario Fo, in the comedy “Two and a half brothers”, as well as in the National Theater “White Raven”.
