Today, the National Historical Museum commemorates the death of Bule Naipi and Persefoni Kokëdhima, Heroines of the People, participants in the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War.

Bule Naipi (1924-1944) was born in Gjirokastër. She was member of Communist Party immediately after its foundation. She participated in anti-fascist demonstrations; worked to spread the ideas of the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War among the people, especially among the young women and girls of Gjirokastër, Libohova and Konispol. She was caught by surprise by Nazi forces and tortured in Gjirokastër prison where he was hanged on July 17, 1944.

Persefoni Kokëdhima (1924-1944), was born in Qeparo of Himara. She became active in the communist youth groups and at the beginning of 1944 he joined the ranks of VI Brigade of the Albanian Resistance Army. She took part in the fighting against the general enemy offensive of June 1944. She was found and arrested while being seriously wounded, subsequently brought to Gjirokastër Prison, where she was tortured and hanged by the Nazis on July 17.
