Mimika Luca, the great actress of the Albanian stage, passed away today at the age of 85. Luca was the wife of another well-known Albanian actor, Ndrekë Luca. Mimika Luca was born in Gjirokastra, on December 24, 1937. She was a well-known Albanian actress. She has performed on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater, as a ballerina, from 1951 to 1962.

In 1962, she started work as an actress at the People’s Theater, where she performed about 30 roles in 15 years, such as: Suzana, Lucia, Tjen Ny in “The Great Wall” , Dila in the drama Cuca e maleve, Sonja, Nica in the movie “General of the Dead Army”, Laja in “When the foundations were laid”, etc. She also performed in 12 feature films. She married the famous actor Ndreke Luca. She also wrote several plays, which were staged at the People’s Theater, the most famous being “Drita”, etc. In 1977, she became a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Arts, drama branch.
