Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has proclaimed 2025 as the Year of Women in Kosovo. In the first meeting of the year, Kurti emphasized that the goal is to strengthen women economically and socially by creating new opportunities.

He assured that all necessary mechanisms would be put in place to achieve this. Reflecting on his first term, Kurti noted that decisions have already been made that positively impacted the lives and work of women and girls.

Addressing the government cabinet, Kurti highlighted that 2025 will focus on encouraging women and girls to step into leadership roles across all sectors. He also mentioned that efforts will be made to enhance women’s access to property and inheritance.
