Kosovo police have shut down a building in northern Mitrovica, which, according to reports, had been operating as a tax office branch of the Serbian Ministry of Finance.

The news was confirmed by Veton Elshani, Deputy Director of Police for the north. He stated that no individuals were arrested in connection with the case.

“At around 9 a.m., we entered the building, which, according to our information, had functioned as a tax office of the Serbian Ministry of Finance. We found evidence confirming our suspicions. After consulting with the prosecutor, the individuals present were removed from the site, and the building was closed pending a full verification of the facts,” Elshani said, adding that the case is under investigation for the criminal offense of “Document Forgery.”
