U.S. Ambassador Jeff Hovenier, along with ambassadors from Quint countries, met with Kosova’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

After the meeting, Hovenier told the media that, following consultations with NATO, they could not support any changes to the current status of the Mitrovica Bridge.

“Under instructions from the capitals of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States, we met with Prime Minister Kurti today to inform him that our governments, in consultation with NATO, cannot support any changes to the current status of the Mitrovica Bridge at this time,” Hovenier stated.

When asked by reporters for further details, the American ambassador declined to provide additional information.
