Remittances, around 120 million euros in May 2024.

In May 2024, remittances to the Republic of Kosovo reached approximately 120 million euros, according to statistics from financial institutions (excluding banks) and other financial entities. This data was published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), indicating that the total value of remittances for the first five months of the year, based on preliminary estimates, amounted to 513.99 million euros.
The largest inflows of remittances came from non-bank financial institutions (NBFI) with a share of 56.31%, followed by other channels at 23.34%, and banks at 14.98%.
Regarding the assets of insurance companies, the CBK reported that as of May, their total value was 318.62 million euros, marking an increase of 1.62 million euros compared to the previous month.
In terms of pension fund assets, they reached a total of 2.90 billion euros, predominantly composed of Capital Value Securities, accounting for 78.14% of all assets.
Finally, the CBK noted that the assets of other financial intermediaries by the end of May 2024 had increased by 11.42 million euros, reaching a total of 583.67 million euros.
