“President Vjosa Osmani has requested the EU to lift the measures, stating that “Kosovo has fulfilled all the conditions.” In a meeting with ambassadors from several EU countries and representatives of EULEX, led by EU Ambassador Thomas Szunyog, Osmani said that Kosovo is aligned with EU policies.

Part of the discussions also included coordinating the international agenda, as well as aligning with EU policies and other allied states on foreign policy and security issues.

“President Osmani emphasized that Kosovo continues to be fully aligned with EU policies in the field of security and foreign policy, including the adoption of sanctions against Russia as well as other states or groups that endanger global security and peace.

Furthermore, President Osmani also discussed the need to lift measures against Kosovo, which are mostly affecting the well-being of Kosovo citizens, without distinction, emphasizing that Kosovo has already fulfilled all the conditions.

In the meeting, Ambassadors also briefed the President on the preparations underway for the Peace Summit for Ukraine to be held in Switzerland,” according to the statement from President Osmani.
