Kosovo-Serbia meeting/ Lajcak: The dialogue to continue on Monday, leaders will have to deal with the agreement

The special envoy of the EU for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajčák, has announced that discussions on the decision regarding cash transactions in Kosovo will continue next Monday (March 25) in Brussels.
In a post on social media X, Lajčák states that discussions will focus on the implementation of the Agreement on the path to normalization with the chief negotiators of Belgrade and Pristina, Petar Petković and Besnik Bislimi, as well as the impact of the decision on cash transactions.
“We agreed to continue with this issue next Monday, while the leaders will need to deal with the Agreement,” he writes.
A day earlier, the chief negotiators of Belgrade and Pristina met in Brussels to discuss the regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo on the prohibition of the use of the Serbian dinar from February 1 and to discuss the Ohrid Agreement and its Implementation Annex.
The negotiators of the two countries discussed this issue on Tuesday in Brussels and reached an agreement that by March 22, the parties will submit their proposals for the use of the Serbian dinar in Kosovo, while next week they will meet again in Brussels to discuss the options.
The international community has reiterated several times that it does not oppose the legitimacy of the decision; however, it does not agree with the speed of its implementation, without offering alternatives for Serbs in Kosovo.
