Lajčák Stresses Urgency of Normalizing Kosovo-Serbia Relations

The European Union’s representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, is presently in Rome, Italy, where he has been engaged in discussions regarding the negotiation process with Italian officials, according to KosovaPress.
Providing preliminary indications of the forthcoming steps in this endeavor, Lajčák has underscored the pressing necessity for the normalization of relations between the two nations during his meetings with Italian counterparts.
“We deliberated on recent advancements in the dialogue aimed at normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia, broader regional matters, and prospective actions in the ensuing months,” he shared on his Facebook page.
Furthermore, Lajčák did not overlook the Security Conference held in Munich last week.
“I participated in various events concentrated on the Western Balkans, including a public panel discussion concerning the future of the region, where I emphasized the imperative nature of normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia.”
According to Miroslav Lajčák, this normalization process is pivotal for fostering regional stability, stimulating economic growth, and advancing towards integration into the European Union.
