From January 1, 2024, all citizens of Kosova will be able to travel freely in the Schengen Area.

But to make travel to the Schengen Area possible, citizens must be equipped with a Kosovan passport.

For this reason, a large number of citizens of Kosova have applied to be equipped with this document.

According to the Ministry of Interior of Kosova, from the beginning of 2023, 287 thousand 965 Kosovans have been provided with passports.

 “Citizens equipped with passports for the year 2023 in total are 287,965”, it is stated in the announcement of the Ministry of the Interior.

Meanwhile, the number of citizens who have been provided with an identity card during 2023 has reached 209 thousand 755. This statistic was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on January 26 that during that week it was equipped with basic material for the production of personal documents.
