Reengagement in EU-mediated dialogue is essential for Prishtina and Belgrade

The NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg has called on Kosova and Serbia to return to the dialogue table mediated by the EU.
At the joint press conference after the meeting with the heads of the 5 NATO member countries in South-Eastern Europe, where Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present, Stoltenberg said that the re-engagement in the dialogue is essential for both the above mentioned countries.
Likewise, Stoltenberg mentioned also the creation of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, considering it an important step forward.
“Stability in the Western Balkans depends on all sides choosing dialogue and diplomacy instead of chaos. Re-engagement in the EU-mediated dialogue is essential for Belgrade and Prishtina. The proposals for the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosova could be an important step forward. It is time to overcome regional conflicts,” Stoltenberg was quoted as saying.
