Rosario Petta: Arbëresh Day and Diaspora Summit bring us closer to Albania

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani, in a reaction on social networks, draws attention to the preparations for Arbëresh Day and the third Diaspora Summit, which will be held in Tirana on November 22-23.
In his invitation to participate in these two significant events, Minister Hasani also conveyed the message of Rosario Petta, the mayor of “Piana degli Albanesi,” a municipality in Italy with strong ties to the Arbëresh community.
Hasani, while sharing a video message from the Italian mayor, described Rosario Petta as an outstanding activist and coordinator who has made a significant contribution to the preservation of the Arbëresh language and traditions, particularly in relation to their country of origin.
Mayor Petta’s message emphasizes, “The Day of Arbëresh and the third Diaspora Summit are highly significant for all Arbëresh people and all Albanians. They represent a cultural initiative that aims to strengthen our connection with Albania.”
