Draft statute of the Association handed over to Kurti and Vucic on October 21, published

The draft statute for the establishment of the Association of Serb-majority municipalities, proposed by the European Union on October 21, “ensures a framework self-government with substantial autonomy for the Kosovo Serb community.”
The main objectives in the draft statute are reported to be, “Implementation of the basic agreement of 2013 ratified by Kosovo and the agreement of 2015, ensures a self-government framework with substantial autonomy for the Kosovo Serb community, double protection”.
This draft statute has a content of 11 pages and contains in writing the principles, objectives and powers of the establishment of the Association.
Based on this draft statute, the Association will have its assembly, president, vice president, board, advisory council and complaints office. Whereas, in the conclusions of the draft statute, it is emphasized that “the draft statute does not cross any of the red lines of Kosovo”.
This draft, proposed by the European Union, was presented to Kosovo and Serbia during the visit of the representatives of the EU, the United States, France, Germany and Italy on October 21 to these two countries.
