The EU’s Special Representative for the dialogue Miroslav Lajcak declared after the meeting with the Kosovan Prime Minister Albin Kurti that the return to the dialogue is urgent and the only way to prevent the recurrence of terrorist events in the north. Lajcak said that during the meeting, the prime minister of Kosova was asked to implement the agreements as the only way to the EU. He underlined that this message is also delivered to Serbian President Vucic.

“Dialogue is more urgent than ever. We have a plan, I can’t go into details, but dialogue has no alternative. De-escalation and organization of [local] elections should take place. If there is no dialogue, there may be a reoccurrence of the events in the north, which neither we nor you want,” said Lajçak.

After expressing his condolences on the murder of the police officer on September 24 in the north of the country, Lajcak emphasized that the EU and NATO are very committed to clarifying the attack and information will be available very soon.
